Brava Certified Contractor
Brava Roof Tile Installer in Mebane & the Triangle, NC
Brava makes composite roof tile that looks like natural slate and hand-split cedar. It weighs far less than the real thing, carries a Class 4 impact rating, and is backed by a 50-year transferable limited warranty. Central Carolina Roofing Systems is a Brava Certified Contractor, roofing homes in Mebane, Chapel Hill, Durham, Raleigh and the towns in between.

Brava Synthetic Slate

Why Homeowners in the Triangle Choose Brava Over Slate and Real Cedar
Natural slate is beautiful and heavy. Many houses need their framing built up to carry it, and a cracked slate is hard to match years later. Real cedar shake looks right on an older house, but it needs treatment, grows moss in our humid summers, and weathers to gray. Brava gives you the look of either one without those trade-offs.
What Every Brava Roof Includes
- Class 4 impact rating under UL 2218, the highest impact class there is
- Made from post-industrial recycled plastic, and the tile itself can be recycled
- Color is mineral pigment mixed through the tile, not a painted surface
- Resists algae and fungus (tested to ASTM G21)
- Backed by Brava's 50-year transferable limited warranty, which we register on your roof
What It Means That We Are a Brava Certified Contractor
Brava trains the crews that install its tile and certifies the contractors who meet its standard. The manufacturer warranty depends on the roof going on the way Brava specifies. We install to that spec, and we register the warranty on your roof when the job is done.
Brava-certified installers are scarce in the Triangle. If you have been told synthetic slate or shake is hard to find around here, that is why.
Brava Roof Tile Questions
Is Central Carolina Roofing Systems a certified Brava installer?
Yes. We are a Brava Certified Contractor. Brava trains and certifies the contractors who install its tiles, and a Brava roof has to go on the way Brava specifies for the manufacturer warranty to hold. We install it that way and register the warranty for you.
What warranty comes with a Brava roof?
Brava backs its tiles with a 50-year transferable limited warranty. Transferable means it moves to the next owner if you sell the house. It comes from Brava, not from us, so it stands whether or not any one contractor is still in business.
Does my roof need extra framing for Brava synthetic slate or shake?
Usually not. Natural slate and clay tile are heavy enough that many houses need the frame built up to carry them. Brava is made to look like those materials at a fraction of the weight. We check your roof structure at the estimate visit and tell you if anything needs work.
What fire rating does a Brava roof have?
It depends on the Brava profile and the underlayment installed under it. We confirm the rating for your roof, in writing, before you sign anything.
How much does a Brava roof cost?
More than designer asphalt and less than natural slate, for most houses. Size, pitch, tear-off and the profile you pick move the number. We do not post prices online because every roof is different; we measure your roof and give you a written price.
